Remembering Surinder Kaur ji. in early 1980s i watched her singing on Doordarshan. many of her duets with Asa Singh Mastana ji were broadcasted, on various occasions, either on Baishakhi or Lohri etc. but i am not elaborating on ocassions, but only the voice, and rich treasure of our folk music Indian Music, or Dharti ke geet as we can say.
Surinder Kaur ji is no doubt on the the glittering gem of Indian Music tradition. No one can fill gap. As we have our great swar samragyi most repsected Lata Mangeshkar. But many of likes Surinder Kaur ji are also gems of our Music Heritage.
